We realize it is a very difficult time to think about new investments. We also realize some of you fared well with your investment in Biofuels while others did not. Despite this, we hope you will read on and consider participating in a new program that DAK Renewable Energy (DAK) has launched this year.

Our government continues to shore up the economy with bailouts and now a stimulus package. Numbers tossed around in the stimulus package may direct up to $40 billion a year toward environmental and renewable energy projects.  In essence, we want to be well prepared to take advantage of these programs as they unfold.

Two years ago, DAK added additional staff to evaluate and develop new projects. Over this period of time we have identified several quality projects. Most of these projects are not commodity-based like traditional ethanol and are much smaller in size and scope but still have huge market potential.

Rather than have a fully developed project and then do an equity drive, DAK has established an Opportunity Investment List (OIL). The OIL consists of people who have expressed an interest in companies that we are working with. By having a ready list of potential investors, it will allow the companies we work with to be much more aggressive in optimizing their business plans (much like Wal-Mart does with suppliers). Once we have a list of names, you will be contacted with details of proposed projects. When there are enough interested investors we will do the needed legal work, organization, etc to solicit the investment needed for the project.
