David Kolsrud - President/CEO

David has 13 years of proven experience in the renewable energy industries. He helped develop, organize, and fund projects exceeding a billion dollars. David’s expertise is used primarily in the areas of ethanol, biodiesel, and wind projects. In 2006 David formed DAK Renewable Energy Inc. DAK Renewable Energy focuses on renewable energy project development, consulting, and managing eleven LLC’s with investments in multiple renewable projects. David has been the Cooperative Manager at Agri-Energy LLC in Luverne, MN since 1995 and represents owners on several companies’ board of directors.

David and his wife Char continue their farming operation which was started in 1973. They have two grown children, Jill and Chris.

Dan Heard - President/CFO

Dan has been engaged in public accounting for 22 years and active in the renewable energy industry for 12 years. Dan has experience in assisting projects from start up and progressing to monthly and annual reporting processes once a project is under production. Dan also has experience with merger/acquisition transactions and the financial and tax issues related to those transactions. Dan brings much needed experience to our company.

Matt Willard - Consultant

Matt has twenty five years experience in business development, strategic planning, new product development, and marketing and sales within technology companies and business units. Specializing over the last 5 years in the agricultural marketplace and before that in satellite and wireless communications; remote sensing products and services; and GPS-based asset management applications, Matt brings a fresh new perspective to our industry. He is recognized for successful sales and marketing efforts, new product development efforts, developing and implementing new business models; facilitating mergers and acquisitions; and establishing and maintaining International B2B relationships.

Geoff Soares - Consultant

Geoff, President of Rural Enterprise Management Company (REMCO LLC), is a business development consultant with expertise in petroleum and renewable fuels. He has undertaken a number of consulting assignments in the area of alternative and renewable (ethanol, biodiesel) fuels. Mr. Soares is also actively involved in providing development and financing assistance to startup companies as well as operational and financing assistance to troubled companies. REMCO LLC has a history of success in raising USDA guaranteed debt financing as well as USDA Renewable Energy and Value Added Producer Grants. Mr. Soares has an MS degree in chemical engineering and a MBA in finance and operations management, both from the University of Michigan.

Andrea Parliament - Accounting Assistant

Andrea joined the team in January 2008 and is responsible for accounting, administrative, and office support. You will find her answering the phone, preparing correspondence and keeping track of the team. Andrea has over ten years of customer service and accounting experience.
